Research profile
Currently I am a PhD student at the Institute of Molecular Biology (IMB) Mainz in Dr. Katja Luck’s lab where I am studying the role of the ATP-dependent chromatin remodeler BAF in genome stability and DNA repair, to ultimately understand how its perturbation leads to cancer. In this project, we are pursuing a systematic, data integrative approach combining experimental and computational methods to obtain a comprehensive understanding of how different BAF subtypes and subunits contribute and complement each other in the maintenance of genome stability. As part of this project I will process, analyze and integrate functional genomics, proteomics, and phenotypic data derived from imaging. Most of this data will be generated by a collaborating PhD student from Dr. Sandra Schick’s lab, which specializes in studying the BAF complex.
