Research profile

I am an evolutionary biologist investigating the evolution, genomics and behavior of social insects. In my work I often obtain large data sets, such as NGS data (RNAseq, DNAreseq, proteomics) but also behavioral, chemical or life history data of thousands of ant colonies. We use quantitative methods including bioinformatics and biostatistics to analyses our huge data sets. Occasionally I have been also involved in modelling papers including some using machine learning approaches.
