Research profile
I work on the analysis of mathematical models arising in biology and medicine, particularly on the level of biochemistry. Areas of application, which I focus on, are immunology and epidemiology. As a mathematician, I am naturally led to study small models and to approach them in an analytically rigorous way. I see this as complementary to work involving large data sets and advanced computational work. I regard the IQCB as an opportunity for me to exchange insights with theoreticians doing that type of work and with biologists and medical researchers.
